Report on youth migration and development (YPWC)

 

Young People We Care (YPWC) has finalised a report on young people's perspectives on migration and development.

The report is based on an online Youth Consultation on Migration and Development in 2009 which sought to collect youth perspectives through the Internet.

With contributions received from four continents the report highlights that:

1) Young migrants contribute economically, socially and culturally to home and host countries;

2) Youth remain engaged with home countries through ICT;

and 3) Circular migration is difficult for young people.

The report also provides key recommendations from Youth for promoting youth-sensitive migration policies.
